In this Seed Saver Program, kids will learn how to make a teepee garden and will take home everything they need to create one at home. They will be instructed on the construction and strength of a tepee, how to plant beans to grow up the poles, as well as what creatures the plants will attract. The tepee will create a quiet space inside where the children can nibble on beans, observe and document animal and insect visitors.
This program is for preschoolers, and takes place at 11a.m after storytime on Wednesday, May 8th at Damascus, Glade Spring, Hayters Gap, and Mendota libraries.
The program will also occur Tuesday, May 14th at 11a.m. at the Abingdon library.
