Acclaimed author Maggie Stiefvater, celebrated for her bestselling fantasy novels and vibrant storytelling, will visit Abingdon library for Sunday with Friends on October 19 to discuss her bestselling adult novel “The Listeners.”
A work of historical fiction, “The Listeners” is set during World War II at a fictional hotel similar to the Greenbrier in West Virginia.
Known for her vivid prose and deeply imaginative worlds, Stiefvater’s novels have consistently won critical acclaim. Her books have sold more than 5 million copies worldwide. She lives in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia.
This event is free of charge. There will be refreshments, book sales, and book signings following the event. Sunday with Friends is sponsored by the Friends of the Washington County Public Library.
