Sunday with Friends: Donna Coffey Little

January 18, 2026 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Meet author, scholar, and poet Donna Coffey Little. Little has multiple advanced degrees, including a PhD in English from the University of Virginia. She has published articles, essays, and poems in many publications. Her first novel is the coming-of-age story “Wofford’s Blood,” based on a true story about James Daugherty Wofford, son of a white father and a Cherokee mother. Wofford struggles with mixed loyalties in the years leading up to the Trail of Tears. The novel is an exciting family saga exploring a mixed-race, divided clan, driven from Cherokee territory by the government and the white intruders of the Wofford’s Settlement in northern Georgia.

This program is free and open to the public.

The Sunday with Friends author series is sponsored by the Friends of the Washington County Public Library, a volunteer, non-profit organization whose purpose is to help strengthen the resources of the library and to make it a dynamic force in the community.
