Part of our monthly program series on life skills for teens! This month we’re learning simple DIY skills for home repair and maintenance.

Join us for an engaging experience playing American Mahjongg! All skill levels are welcome. This strategy game, similar to rummy, combines skill and luck using tiles. Everyone is invited to play, learn, and connect. Sharpen your skills, make new friends, and enjoy this classic game!

Sonia Vanhook from the SWVA Higher Education Center will introduce us to the LEGO® Education Coding Express- a STEM kit that sparks students’ curiosity and creativity. Combine blocks and learn computer concepts such as sequencing, looping, and conditional coding.

Come out with your community and join us for a movie in the Glade Spring town square. We will show the movie on the side of the library. Showtime is at 9 p.m. Snacks and drinks will be provided. Just bring your chair. October 17: "Night at the Museum."

Join "Haint Mistress" and champion storyteller Donnamarie Emmert as she shares stories and legends about Abingdon and its best known buildings. Donnamarie has been leading Halloween tours of Abingdon for years, so don't miss this chance to listen for things that go bump in the night! Boo!

Let’s sing interactive songs, play instruments, move, groove, and have fun together! This program is for children 0-5 and their caregivers. The afternoon program is a repeat of the morning program.

This program will be held monthly on the third Tuesday of the month at 4 p.m. The journey of mending a broken story begins with breaking the silence. Join Ann Ledgerwood, facilitator, as we explore writing strategies to help us heal. Bring a journal, some paper, or your computer. All are welcome.

This October, join Rachel in Damascus for a weekly spooky craft and conversation. Dive into the world of serial killers, true crime, and the paranormal! All crafting materials will be supplied.
