Please join us for a workshop on Cooking for Cancer Prevention. This free, two-hour workshop will cover information on prevention screenings as well as well as cancer preventative foods. Cooking for Cancer Prevention is an evidence-based program of Virginia Cooperative Extension and The University of Georgia Extension.
About our presenters:
Kristen Gibson is a Family and Consumer Sciences Extension Agent with professional experience in healthcare and is passionate about promoting health and wellness through food safety, food preservation, and consumer education. She enjoys connecting communities with practical, research-based information that supports healthier lifestyles.
Andrea Wann is the Family and Consumer Sciences Extension Agent for Washington County. She has a background in nutrition and public health. Andrea is passionate about the preventative side of nutrition and the power foods have on our health and how we feel. She works in various program areas as an Extension Agent including health and wellness, disease prevention, food preservation, food safety, and financial wellness.
