Sunday with Friends: Amanda Opelt

Amanda Held Opelt’s new book, “Provisions: Finding Home Through the Food Folklore of the Appalachian Table,” is about the beauty and resonance of rediscovering your Appalachian heritage through ancestral food traditions. Opelt writes about faith, creativity, communal traditions, and life in Southern Appalachia. Amanda’s writing has appeared in Christianity Today, Plough, Religion News Service, and 100 Days in Appalachia. She lives in Boone, North Carolina.
There will be book sales and signings following the event.
