Event Series Event Series: 2023 Sunday with Friends

Leah Weiss

April 2 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

For our Sunday with Friends program, meet Leah Weiss, a native of North Carolina, who became a national bestselling writer in her 70’s after retiring as an administrator at the Virginia Episcopal School in Lynchburg. She has published two novels of historical fiction: “If the Creek Don’t Rise” in 2017 and “All the Little Hopes” in 2021, which have been compared to the works of Lee Smith and Delia Owens. Both novels were finalists for the Library of Virginia’s People’s Choice Awards. The recent “All the Little Hopes” is a coming-of-age story of two teenage girls and is set in eastern North Carolina during World War II, near a Nazi prisoner-of-war camp.
