Charles Dodd White
May 7 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

At our Sunday with Friends program, meet Charles Dodd White, whose writing career has delivered five novels and now a collection of essays, “A Year Without Months,” which can be described as a fragmented memoir about his family’s dark secrets. Dodd says that he always has preferred the idea of writing about what bothers him. He says that in much of the South and Appalachia also “the most beautiful parts of the country are still struggling to wake up from the nightmare of violent racism,” a theme which he explores in his novels: “Lambs of Men,” (2010), “A Shelter of Others” (2014), “In the House of Wilderness” (2016), and “How Fire Runs” (2020).
