Center, Inc.It
is located at the Main Library in Abingdon.
The Cooperating Collection
consists of a core collection of
Foundation
Center
directories, updated annually, an online database, and other published
works about foundation and corporate giving and related fundraising
subjects.
Who can use the materials in the Cooperating Collection?
The information in the
Cooperating Collection w
ill
primarily benefit nonprofit organizations that qualify under IRS code
501 (c) (3) to receive private foundation grants.
All of the materials in the
collection are available free to the public.

to individuals in the Cooperating Collection?
Yes, the directory, Foundation
Grants to Individuals provides information on foundations that
provide funding for individuals.
What kind of fundraising information is in the Cooperating Collection?
Print directories provide
information about foundations that includes contact person and
address, funding interests, geographic restrictions, application
process and may include information about grants and grantee

Is the Foundation Directory Online available in the
Cooperating Collection?
The Use of the Foundation
Directory Online is free from computers at the Main Library in
Abingdon.
There is a fee of 10 cents per
page for printing.However,
information may be copied to a word processing program and saved to a
floppy disk or e-mailed.
Orientation to the Foundation
Directory Online is available on request.

Does the Foundation Center, Inc. provide any fundraising resources
that are not in the Cooperating Collection?
The Foundation Center, Inc.
maintains a website that includes an online philanthropy journal,
links to other Cooperating Collections (over 200 nationwide) and its
five regional libraries, a linked index of private foundation websites
and links to other online sources of information of interest to
nonprofit organizations.
Are there any fundraising classes or workshops associated with the
Cooperating Collection?
As host to the Cooperating
Collection, the Washington County Public Library System conducts at
least four orientations to the Collection each year.
The Cooperating Collection
provides an excellent resource for regional grantwriting or
fundraising workshops for nonprofits. If you would like to schedule a
fundraising workshop at the Washington County Public Library, contact
