Summer Reading Program

The Library offers six weeks of fun, excitement, and reading as children see guest performers and participate in a wide array of activities. Participants will be encouraged to set a reading goal and keep track of their reading throughout the program. Children of all ages are welcome to participate in the program.

Program Participation

Can I bring my older or younger children with me to some of the age specific programs?

We welcome all children at each of our programs. The mention of age is meant as a guideline for participation. Please note that the programs will be geared for the listed age, but everyone is welcome.

Do I need to stay with my child at these programs?

Parents of preschool children are required to remain with children during programs. Many of our activities encourage parent/child interaction. Parents of elementary age children are invited to stay but it is not necessary.

Do I need to register my child for these programs?

You do not need to register in advance for these pro-grams. We may ask you to register at your first program just to give us a roster of who is attending.

Is there a charge for these programs?

No! All children’s programs are free of charge.
