Tisket, A Tasket Tickets Still Available
ABINGDON
,
VA.
Tickets are available for A Tisket, A Tasket, A Literary Basket,
the annual fundraiser for the Washington County Library planned for April
2 at
Jubilee
House
Retreat
Center
.
Sponsored by the Friends of the Washington County Library and the
Washington County Foundation Board, the event should prove to be a
fun-filled, entertaining evening where ticket holders can bid on baskets
filled with unique items and a book reflecting the theme of the basket.
Many individuals, reading groups, businesses and civic clubs have
already contributed baskets. Among
those already submitted are Under the Tuscan Sun, My Love Affair with
England
,
Charlotte
’s Web and Easter baskets suitable for
children and adults.
Tickets priced at $10 each are available at the main branch and any
of its four branches located in
Damascus
, Hayters Gap, Mendota and Glade Spring.
They may also be obtained at Greer Jewelers or from a Washington
County Public Library Foundation member.
In addition to admission, the ticket includes wine and hors
d’oeuvres.
The silent auction event will be held from
6 p.m.
to
8 p.m.
on Friday, April 2 at
Jubilee
House
Retreat
Center
behind Christ the King Catholic Church in
Abingdon.
