 “Stryk-ing” Display @ WCPL

 Washington County Public Library patrons will be treated to a pleasing display during the month of January by the talented poet and artist couple, Dan and Suzanne Stryk, from Bristol, VA.  This husband and wife team has collaborated on three books to date and play off each other’s writing and illustrating talents well as their mutual inspiration and appreciation of nature is readily apparent upon reading and viewing their creations.  Suzanne’s art has recently been on display at the William King Regional Art Center since October 7, 2005.  Books by Dan that are available for loan at WCPL include The Artist and the Crow, Death of a Sunflower: Poems and Prose Parables and A Sea Change: A Cycle of Poems.

 Some of Southwest Virginia’s finest expressions of poetic and artistic talent are not to be missed.  The public is invited to come and experience the Stryk’s thoughtful homage to nature which will be residing in the display case inside the front entrance of the Library until the end of January.
