THE WASHINGTON COUNTY PUBLIC LIBRARY ANNOUNCES
THIS YEAR’S SPRING PROGRAM ACTIVITIES
Washington County Public Library
will once again offer a variety of interactive, fun and FREE programs for
children and youth.
Want to Participate in a
collaborative book to be displayed in the Children’s Department of the
library? How about doing some cooking? Would you like to help plant a
spring garden at the library that you could watch grow all summer long?
Are you ready to perfect your acting skills? Join us at the library for
all of these exciting happenings, plus we will read lots and lots of great
books. All of these activities and much more will be a part of the Spring
Programming presented by the Children’s Department at the library.
PRESCHOOLERS:
Join us in the Main Library’s
Conference Room for the following programs. Parents are required to attend
the preschool programs. Programs begin January 24 and run through May 11,
2006. No registration is necessary.
Baby Time:
Wednesdays, 9:30 – 10:00
This half hour program is ideal for our
youngest patrons, ages 2 and under. Parents, caregivers, and children will
enjoy rhymes and songs, movement activities, and short stories in an
interactive environment.
Toddler
Time: Tuesdays, 9:30 – 10:00
This half-hour program is perfect for 2 to 4
year olds who are starting to socialize!
Parents, caregivers, and children will enjoy
short stories, movement activities, fingerplays, and songs.
Preschool Storytimes: Tuesdays and
Wednesdays, 11:00 – 11:45
This program is designed for preschoolers who
are ready for a more structured storytime. There will be lots of audience
participation and interaction, including songs, rhymes, and often a craft.
Family Storytime: Thursdays 6:30 – 7:15
Little kids, big kids, grown-up kids – come
one, come all to this exciting program, specially designed for families of
working parents! We’ll enjoy books, music, crafts and fun activities for
the whole family.
Storytimes are also available at each of our
branch libraries! Join us at the branch nearest you at any of the
following times:
Hayters Gap Branch: 1st and 3rd Monday of each month at
12:45
Mendota Branch: 2nd and 4th Monday of each month at 12:45
Damascus Branch: 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month at 10:00
In the event of wintry weather, programs at the Main Library will be
held if the library is open, regardless of public school closings.
However, Branch Library storytimes will be cancelled if schools are
closed. If in doubt, please call the Children’s Department at 676-6382.
