A Tisket, A Tasket Fundraiser Changes
Location and Date
ABINGDON,
Va.
The Friends of the Washington
County Public Library and the Washington County Public Library Foundation
are jointly sponsoring the third annual “A Tisket, A Tasket, A Literary
Basket” fundraiser at a new location this year and have scheduled it
later in the spring.
For the last two years, the event had been held prior to Easter, but
this year event organizers decided to hold it later in the season.
The silent auction event will be held this year from
6:30
to
8:30 p.m.
on Friday, May 6 at the Southwest Virginia Higher Education Center in
Abingdon.
You may help by sponsoring a basket which must include a book, with
other items in the basket reflecting the theme of the book.
Those who would like to create a basket should call event co-chairs

Basket items are tax deductible.
Event tickets are $15. The
ticket price includes admission, hors d’oeuvres, wine, and new this
year, dessert and coffee. Tickets
can be purchased beginning April 1 at the main library and any of its four
branches located in
Damascus
, Hayters Gap, Mendota and Glade Spring.
