E-MAIL

How do I check my E-Mail?

Washington County Public Library System does not allow patrons to set up e-mail clients (Outlook, Outlook Express, Eudora) on public access computers (doing so in a violation of our Acceptable Use Policy.) However you are welcome to check your web based e-mail via a browser, or set up a free account with a web based mail provider like Hotmail.

Many service providers now offer web based e-mail.

AOL - America Online

If you have an account on AOL just go to:

http://www.aol.com/

Enter your Screen Name and password and you can check your mail and calendar in the browser.

Other Providers

For a list of other popular e-mail providers check Yahoo!

Web based access to your existing POP3 account

If you have a POP3 account, but your mail provider doesn't offer web based e-mail yet you can go to:

Panda Mail - http://pandamail.net

This is a new service. We haven't tested it, but it is free.

MailStart* -  http://www.mailstart.com/

Type in your e-mail address and password, and you can check your messages in the Browser.

MailStart will not allow you to view attachments, but will allow you to send, receive, and read your mail.

*You can use this demo once per week. For more frequent use they ask that you sign up for a $6 a year membership.
